Evie In Wonderland....

A long time ago, there lived an imaginative little girl named Evie. She loved to be outside and would often play with her "forest friends". There was Pip, the tall rabbit who wore a big clock necklace because he was always afraid of running late. Bertrude was a crafty little snail who sat on the rock by the stream all day blowing bubbles with his pipe. One day, while pretending to be a princess, Pip ran up to Evie and told her to hurry and follow him! There was something he had to show her down the stream. Evie followed Pip and they rushed off toward the waterfall. Just there, they spotted a rabbit hole, where Pip exclaimed they needed to "jump down and follow where it leads". Evie looked down the hole and was not quite sure. It was really dark and she couldn't see the bottom at all. Before she could protest, Pip grabbed her by the hand and pulled her down the rabbit hole! Just like that, Evie was falling down into darkness...

You make me smile...

The lovely Edith Ogleby posted a challenge on Flickr over night and I immediately knew who I wanted to write about.

The person I would like to gush over is someone I met a few weeks back. Everyone knows him as my yard sale Daddy, but we will refer to him on here as Jamy. Have you ever had an encounter with someone and right off the bat you knew there was something special about them? You just kinda click and want to get to know them better, sooner rather than later? That's how I felt when I met him. Jamy is a really awesome guy. I have only known him a short while, but he is so sweet and witty. He is also very open to the kid community and doesn't judge anyone for their avis which to me is a great quality in itself. He is also magical! I am so happy to have met you Jamy. Thank you for allowing us into your little world and for getting me. Even if you do think I'm evil.

Ho Ho Ho...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

Happy New Year!
It has been forever since I have blogged.
Can you believe it is already 2013? I know I sure can't!
Lots of exciting things happened the last few months. The Sapphire Divas celebrated Christmas and it was AMAZING! So let's get to it, shall we?

It was Christmas Eve in the Sapphire home, Mamaboo said we had to make some cookies for Santa. He was sure to be awfully hungry on his trip from the North Pole. I was her little helper and got the mix everything together and add the chocolate chips! I may have helped myself a little too. *giggles*
Next we had to bake them. I got to use my new kitchen set finally. :)

Cookies take a while to bake, so Mama had an activity planned for us. To make it easier for Santa to find our house, we made magic reindeer glitter in all of their favorite colors!

We had to add one scoop from each color and the more we added, the magic started to appear. Before we knew it, the jar began to sparkle! We knew then it was ready. We headed outside and Mama got the ladder from the shed. She carried me up the roof and let me sprinkle the magical reindeer glitter all over until the whole roof began to sparkle! Santa & his reindeer would never miss our house now.

Finally the cookies were finished. I wrote a note to Santa and we picked out a good spot to leave him his cookies & milk. We also left some fresh carrots for the reindeer.

I was getting pretty sleepy, so Mama took me into the living room so we could cuddle up under the Christmas tree. She read me It was the night before Christmas as I drifted off to sleep...

All night I had dreams about Santa. I swore I heard him say "Ho Ho Ho". Finally it was Christmas morning. Mama came and woke me up. "Did Santa come!?" I ran into the living room and sure enough, it really was him! It was such a wonderful morning. We opened all the gifts and just laughed. Mama saved the best gift for last.

Tucked away behind the tree was a little tin can. Inside was a very special book, my baby book! You see, Santa gave me the gift I had been dreaming of. To be born and to be my Mamaboo's for real. I am so happy and so very blessed. This was the best Christmas ever.

Love,
Evie Bebe

Seasons change, people change...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

These past few weeks have been a roller coaster of emotions for me. So many things have changed, for the better, but still change none the less. Mama & I decided with everything changing, it was time to change the sim to our favorite season, Autumn!  The leaves have fallen & ever so often a soft wind comes along & stirs them up sending them flying ever so gently in the air. Our forest friends are busy preparing their homes for the upcoming winter. Just like the leaves, everything has fallen into it's place.

*Closes my eyes and breathes in the fresh Autumn air* Yeah, change is good.

A family portrait...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

So, a few weeks ago I had a brainstorm for a pic. I wanted to do a quirky family portrait with all of us wearing mustaches! I know it's nothing new, but to me it was really just perfect for us. Our family is made up of 3 very different personalities & unique girls.

Here we are, The Sapphire Family.

Cookie monster...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

RL has kept me pretty busy these days, so I thought I would try my best to make my Mamaboo some cookies.  I mixed some eggs, water and flour together then dumped a bag of chocolate chips in! I figured that would be enough. Then I baked them in the oven til they were nice and brown.

I may have over cooked them just a little cause the bottom was kinda black. *shrugs* I think she will love them though. Even if they are extra crispy. :)

My safe place...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

Today I thought I would share with you one of my favorite places, my bedroom!

I wanted to create a space that was both whimsical and girly, kinda like me. :) I collected several pieces of furniture from different places and am still finding new things to add. In the corner you can see my sheep Jude. Then Billy Bob is my bear who keeps guard while I sleep.  Lastly, Ernie found his perfect spot next to the tv. This is my safe place. A place to rest my head. My room.

Welcome Home...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

Today felt like eternity, but at last my wait is over.
I made my Mama a welcome home banner and hung it on the porch with some balloons.
I waited and waited until I couldn't wait any longer! Mr. Moon came out and the stars started to twinkle. I thought it would be best to just rest my eyes...
I ended up falling asleep and dreaming about  Mama. I must have slept all night cause when I woke up, the sun was shining and my Mama was right there! She scooped me up and squished me so tight.
I'm never letting her go again. Welcome home Mamaboo!

Panda Express...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

Today has been just one of those days. You know the kind you just want to curl up in a ball & hide? I'm really missing my Mamaboo & needed a good talk. Lucky for me, I found a new friend at D-Lab. I brought him home, gave him a hug, and named him Ernie.
Ernie & I have been having some deep conversations. I'm glad he's found his forever home like me.

Lazy afternoons...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

Today my Mama is leaving in RL for a few days to go visit Auntie. She brought home some Mc Donald's to tide me over until she gets back. My friend Juliet came over and we all sat on the porch to eat our happy meals. The next few days are going to be tough. :(
I guess I will just have to pass the time slaying zombies & watching Twilight over and over. Oh wait, I do that everyday already! :P

My shining star...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

Look at the stars, see how they shine for you? I have the brightest shining star ever staring back at me every day. She gives me unconditional love, kindness, faith, and allows me to be myself without judgment. She offers me a helping hand and lifts me back up when I fall down. Nurturing my heart and soul, and spreading joy wherever she goes. She is my Mama.

When I look to the Heaven's, I thank God for sending you to me, or me to you. I love you Mamaboo.

Just dance...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

Last night was a first in the Sapphire household. Here I was, minding my own business, when a little devil with a halo came home. A fight broke out, she went for a swim, and I landed in time out! It was such a travesty I tell you.
I don't know how long I was in. All I know, it was pure torture and there was no talking my way out of this one. Devil child had Mama good. So, what's a diva to do when there is no end in sight? Just dance!

Relay for life...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

Today was such an emotional roller coaster for me. For the last 2 years in RL, I have taken part in RFL in remembrance of my Dad. He lost his fight to cancer 3 years ago. This year will also be the 3rd year I have taken part in RFL in SL. I am so honored to have had the opportunity to share this day with my fellow campers. The love on the track was overwhelming, and as always, Jill & Gattz did a beautiful job on the memorial.

Hopefully one day soon, there will be a cure. Until then, we will keep fighting, and keep walking.

Happy Birthday Sissy...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

A little over 5 months ago, a tiny blonde haired, blue eyed girl walked into my life. We connected instantly, and she quickly became my little sister. Through cray cray first Mom's, to lying ex Dad's, she has been my constant. We take care of each other & stick together like glue.

I love you Josey Posey. Thank you for being my best friend, my confidant, and for always having my back no matter what. I hope today is as fabulous as you are!

Sail away...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

I don't think I will ever fully understand certain people, and why they choose to behave the way they do. You can make yourself appear pretty & perfect on the outside, but if you are shallow and nasty on the inside, it doesn't matter. I don't pretend to be someone I am not. If I don't like you, I will not be "fake nice" to you. I will not say "You're my friend" all the while saying cruel things about you on Skype. I know we are role playing children, but seriously, grow up!

I know it's hard, and we all feel that need to want to fit in sometimes. But if doing so will make you nasty too, it's not worth it. Take a stand or just walk away. Do not allow others to drag you to their level just so you can feel "popular" all the while claiming to be "Christian". I hope you feel better about yourself. I'm choosing to take a stand and not let your actions & cruelty affect me. I don't need to be in the "in crowd". I know who I am as a person and am happy in both lives. :)

A place to lay my head...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

Day 2 of camp and so far, it has been pretty fabulous! I unpacked my suitcases & made my bunk fit for such a pretty little princess as myself. Isn't it beautiful? My Mommy gave me a care package with cookies she made from home too. :)

After everything was all put away and the cookies were gone, it was time for lights out. My sissy & I were a little wired, so we decided to let out some energy. We were two little Diva's jumping on the bed! Luckily for her, she did not fall off and bump her head.

Finally Mr. Sandman came and it was off to dreamland. Sleep sweet!

Ready for take off...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

Camp day has arrived! After we made sure Nessie was fed, all the windows and doors were locked, & everything was in it's place, we packed up the car and headed to the departure area.  Mommy is a counselor this year so she had to help get everyone checked in when they arrived.  This year we got to go on a submarine! It was kinda scary, but lots of fun.  :)

When we arrived, we went straight to our cabin to get situated. I got the top bunk which kinda sucks, but I'm rolling with the punches and keeping a smile on my face. Everyone says "Camp is what you make of it", and I am determined to make mine great! I haven't explored much of camp yet, but it sure is pretty. Tomorrow, it's on!

New horizons...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

Learning to let go is one of the hardest things we as humans will ever do. Today, I decided I am going to just let go. Holding onto hurt only hurts you. Life is far too short and I am ready to live. I took the first step, now I will walk with my head held high and know, anything beyond today is on them.

Summer Camp...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

This morning I woke up to a sweet surprise. My acceptance letter into Camp has arrived! I have only went to one other camp, last winter. I was really excited and really scared at the same time. I made some really close friends there, and lost a few.

This time it will be different though. It's summer time and my whole family will be there! I am going to really put myself out there and try to meet new people. Most of all, I am not going to let dumb people get to me and have a really great time. Haters gonna hate!

Dreaming my dreams of you...

Greetings, salutations, shalom.

This weekend has been an emotional roller coaster in RL for me. I haven't cried so much in months. Sometimes, I guess you just need a good cry and to let yourself go.

I wasn't sure if I was going to make it on today, but I'm sure glad I did! Today was camp sign ups. In the kid world, this is an epic day that we all wait on and only happens twice a year. Everyone deprims and puts on their pretty pink skin then tp's like mad to get in to hopefully get a spot into camp! To my surprise, I was one of the first on the sim the first try! My sissy and besties also got in. So tonight, I go to sleep with a much needed smile on my face. After I shoot some zombies of course. ;)
